At a glance

On September 25, 2022, the people and the cantons approved the OASI 21 reform, thereby securing the financing of the OASI until 2030. The reform will come into force on January 1, 2024.

The stabilization of the OASI comprises four measures:
- Standardisation of the retirement age (now reference age) of women and men to 65 years of age
- Compensatory measures for women of the transition generation
- More flexible retirement in the OASI system
- Additional financing through an increase of the value-added tax
