On 25 September 2022, the people and the cantons approved the OASI 21 reform, thereby securing the financing of the OASI until 2030. The reference age for women and men will be standardised at 65, retirement will be made more flexible and value added tax (VAT) will be slightly increased. The reform is expected to come into force on 1 January 2024.

Individual consultations on the current innovations will only be possible after the federal ordinance provisions have been approved (currently in the draft stage). The programmes for this must also first be adapted afterwards.
